Magnetic vibrators are suitable as drives for vibration conveying conduits and pipes, vibrating filters, water-removal equipment, worm conveyors and vibrating tables.

Magnetic vibrators are spring-mass systems, which always exploit the close-to-resonance condition of the entire vibration system (drive and working device). The drive includes the elements for vibration generation, such as electromagnet and leaf spring package. The vibration generated by the excitation current on the driving side is transmitted directly to the working device (e.g. filter, conduit or pipe). Directed, linear vibration movements of the working device are generated. The vibration direction in this case always runs at a pre-determined "vibration angle" to the horizontal. The "vibration amplitude" corresponds in this case to the double amplitude of the overall system. Magnetic vibrators are continuously controllable using the drive voltage. They immediately achieve full conveying capacity, and thus interference effects from run-up and run-down of motor drives are dispensed with. This is especially important in case of dosing and feeding or for process-technical applications. Magnetic vibrators enable the continuous adjustment of the conveying rate in on-going operation. They achieve full conveying capacity immediately after turning on. The shutdown is implemented in fractions of a second and stops the conveying rate immediately.

Drive selection

The size of the introduced force, the operating frequency and the mass of the equipment onto which the magnetic vibrator is securely bolted, determine the size of the vibration amplitude (double amplitude). The vibration amplitude defines the maximum height of the microthrow and thus the theoretically possible conveying speed. The actual conveying rate is basically influenced by the conveying cross-section, the settled-material density and the conveyability of the bulk material. You can find the vibration amplitude for all AViTEQmagnetic vibrators, depending on the effective weights, in our reference pamphlet. In this way, you can rapidly find the optimum drive. The vibration amplitude is limited in practice, on the one hand, by the acceleration which the working device can withstand (service life) and, on the other hand, by the conveyed material standstill in case of acceleration that is at too low a level. With vibration amplitudes of max. 0.2 to 4 mm and vibration and operating frequencies of 100, 50, 33 and 25 Hz (with 50 Hz power supply), as well as 120, 60, 30 Hz (with 60 Hz power supply), AViTEQmagnetic vibrators can move devices up to 1800 kg dead weight. AViTEQmagnetic vibrators are available as a standard type for mains voltages of 230 or 400 V, for 50 Hz or 60 Hz power systems. Accessories

Our magnetic vibrators are connected, via different standard interface devices, according to the required function, to the alternating current mains. The adapter units are required for an operation of the vibration device with the planned operating frequency and for continuous regulation of the vibration amplitude and thus the conveying rate.

Adapter units with voltage compensation balance line voltage fluctuations and hold the conveying rate constant over a broad voltage range.

Analog adapter units are also employed as vibration amplitude controllers, together with additional vibration recorders, in order to check the function of the overall system. The current vibration amplitude can then also be displayed in analog or digital form.

With our digital adapter units, the problem-free integration of vibration conveyor equipment with magnetic vibrator is possible in operation-wide system automation concepts.

Extensive programming of nominal/actual value and all system-specific parameters can be implemented from a central control system. Also, additional sensors make possible the integration of diagnosis and maintenance functions.
